Delete Your Codex Meetings Account

Last updated: [Effective date — to be confirmed]

Draft for internal legal and operational review. Bracketed placeholders must be completed with verified information before publication.

This page explains how to request permanent deletion of your Codex Meetings account (web, iOS and Android) and the data associated with it. You do not need to sign in to read this page.

1.How to request deletion

Email [Verified support email] from the email address registered to your Codex Meetings account, with the subject line "Account deletion request".

  • Include the email address on the account.
  • Do not include your password or payment details.
  • We will reply to verify that the request comes from the account owner before proceeding.

[An in-app deletion option will be added here once available].

2.Deletion vs. deactivation

Deletion is permanent: your account and associated data are removed and cannot be restored. Deactivation, where offered, temporarily disables access while keeping your data. [Confirm whether deactivation is offered].

3.What data is deleted

When your request is completed, we delete:

  • Your account and profile information
  • Meetings you scheduled and your booking page settings
  • Recordings, transcripts and AI summaries you own
  • [Other data categories to confirm]

4.Data we may retain

We may keep limited information where required by law or for legitimate purposes such as billing records, fraud prevention, or resolving disputes. [Specify retained categories and retention periods].

5.What happens after your request

  • We acknowledge your request and verify your identity.
  • Active paid subscriptions should be cancelled first; store subscriptions must be cancelled in the App Store or Google Play.
  • We complete deletion within [timeframe] and confirm by email.
